Here's the truth about custom sticker book manufacturing: most people have no idea where to start. You've got artwork, maybe some rough ideas, but turning that into actual physical books? That's where we come in.
At our Milwaukee facility, we've been printing labels and stickers for 15+ years. We started getting requests from influencers and educators who wanted something more than just sheets of stickers - they wanted actual bound books. So we figured it out. Built relationships with bookbinders, tested different paper stocks, figured out which adhesives work best for repositionable vs permanent stickers.
We're not going to promise you "limitless possibilities" or "exciting ventures." What we will do is print your sticker books correctly, on time, and at a price that makes sense for your business. Most of our clients are educational publishers doing runs of 2,000-10,000 books, but we've also done 500-count orders for YouTubers launching merchandise.
Most printers will tell you "send us your artwork and we'll make it work." That's code for "we'll charge you for 3 rounds of revisions when your files aren't set up right."
Here's what we actually need: 300 DPI minimum resolution, CMYK color space (not RGB), 0.125" bleed on all sides. File formats? PDF with embedded fonts or high-res PNG. We can work with AI/EPS files too, but honestly, most people use Canva or Photoshop these days and export PDFs.
Standard book size is 8.5" x 11" (fits standard die-cut stickers), but we've done 6" x 9" for kids' activity books and 5" x 7" for pocket-sized versions. Typical page count is 8-24 pages. Cover can be 100# gloss cover stock or 14pt cardstock if you want something sturdier. Our minimum order is 100 books, though honestly, at that quantity you're paying about $8-12 per book. Gets way cheaper at 500+.
100# gloss cover or 14pt cardstock for sturdier feel. Matte or glossy lamination available. Most clients go with glossy - it holds up better to kid hands and looks nicer on a shelf.
70-100# text stock, depending on whether stickers need to peel off the pages (reusable books need a coated/waxy finish). Standard activity books use 80# gloss text.
Vinyl or paper-based sticker stock. Vinyl is more durable and repositionable. Paper stickers are cheaper but permanent. We use repositionable adhesive for kids' books so they can move stickers around.
Saddle-stitch (stapled) for 8-48 pages. Perfect binding (glued spine) for 49+ pages. Spiral binding available too but less common for sticker books. Most of our orders are saddle-stitched.
The biggest factor in pricing is quantity. At 100 books, you're looking at $8-12 per book. At 500, that drops to $4-6. At 2,000+, you're in the $2-3 range. These are rough numbers - actual pricing depends on page count, sticker count, size, and material choices.
Other things that affect cost: number of sticker sheets (kiss-cutting is the most labor-intensive part), book size (larger = more material and press time), special finishes like spot UV or foil stamping, and packaging requirements. Shrink-wrapping adds about $0.15-0.25 per unit.
For detailed pricing on larger orders, see our bulk sticker book printing page, or just call us with your specs and we'll quote it same day.
We make a few different types of sticker books depending on what you need:

100 books. We can do smaller runs, but the per-unit cost gets high enough that it usually doesn't make financial sense for most people.
Typical turnaround is 2-3 weeks from approved proof to delivery. Rush orders (1 week) are possible for a surcharge. Large orders (5,000+ books) may take 4-5 weeks.
We're printers, not designers. But we can do basic layout work and file preparation. If you need full design from scratch, we can recommend illustrators and designers we've worked with.
